How to submit this form: 

After Open Scheduling, please use this form to request to add, change or cancel sections. 

Who can use this form: 

Any Department Scheduler who has completed provisioning and been approved by their respective Department to manage Curriculum Management in UAccess Student. To be granted access to this form, email rcshelp@email.arizona.edu with role provisioning approval. Fall/Spring Semester Request - Common Final Exam Request - DOC 

Deadline*:  

Fall Semester Request - December 1 

Spring Semester Request - July 1 

*If the deadline falls on a weekend/holiday, then the deadline will be the following Monday. 

How to submit this form:  

To request common finals, please have your Department’s Scheduler complete the Priority Scheduling Request application. This form will require your Department Head’s and College Dean’s signatures. Please e-mail the completed form to rcshelp@email.arizona.edu on or before the deadline. The application will be reviewed by the Room and Course Scheduling Committee. You will be notified whether your request is approved by August 1 for Spring and January 1 for Fall. If the notification date falls on a weekend/holiday, then we will notify you on the following Monday. 

Who can use this form: 

Any Department which meets the criteria below may use this form to opt in the Common Final Exam process. If approved, common scheduling ensures a class a final exam time and day which is not assigned any other final exams. This application is not a replacement for Open Scheduling, but a supplementary tool to the information supplied in the Schedule of Classes in UAccess.  

The course has four or more in-person sections OR over 200 students enrolled in its in-persons sections.

How to submit this form: 

To request priority scheduling, please have your Department’s Scheduler complete the Priority Scheduling Request application. This form will require your Department Head’s approval. The application will be reviewed by the Priority Scheduling Committee and you will be notified via email whether your request is approved. 

Use the Scheduling Grid Template if your request pertains multiple sections. (The Excel template will be saved to your download folder.)

Who can use this form: 

Any Department which meets one or more of the criteria below may use this form. If approved, priority scheduling ensures a specific Facility ID is assigned to a section before room optimization. This application is not a replacement for Open Scheduling, but a supplementary tool to the information supplied in the Schedule of Classes in UAccess. 

  • Criteria 1: Department has provided financial support for a centrally scheduled classroom(s) i.e. equipment or renovation.
  • Criteria 2: Department has a class that needs to use equipment that is not available in any other centrally-scheduled classroom or equipment travel restrictions for back-to-back classes.
  • Criteria 3:Department has an instructor with a disability or travel restrictions for back-to-back classes that needs to use a centrally scheduled classroom.
  • Criteria 4: Department has 2 or more class sections that create a standard meeting pattern either through use of the hybrid modality or by a aligning multiple sections to satisfy a standard meeting pattern criteria. To meet this criteria class sections are scheduled in the same room.

This request form is to update the Schedule of Classes by adding a Class Section Level Attribute to denote the Language of Instruction, specifically class sections taught in a language other than English. This attribute will only be applied to non-language courses.
