Extending Your Graduation Date

If you have already applied for graduation, but would like to change your graduation date, contact your Graduation Services Advisor. They will determine if your request for change is permissible.  There is no charge if it has been one year or less since your originally scheduled graduation date.

If it has been more than one year since your originally scheduled graduation date, you will need to re-apply for degree candidacy. There is a $50 fee for each re-application. Please contact your Graduation Services Advisor and they will instruct you on how to proceed.

Note: Students whose programs include courses that will be more than eight years old at the expected time of graduation should consult with their major department to determine acceptability of such courses.

Material in courses taken long before graduation may be deemed obsolete or irrelevant. Accreditation may also limit the applicability of courses or degree requirements to less than eight years.
