Fall 2022 Academic Policy Exceptions
As announced by the Provost, the following one-time exceptions have been made to the academic policy for the fall 2022 term.
- The Withdrawal Deadline for individual courses for the regular session fall semester is extended to Dec. 7, the last day of classes.
- Other sessions that have not ended by that date will have an adjusted deadline.
- The ‘W’ Grade Unit Maximum (18 units) policy for Undergraduate students is suspended for fall 2022.
- Grades of W taken in fall 2022 will be excluded from the 18-unit limit for Undergraduate students.
- Students who already have reached the 18-unit limit from other terms will be able to W individual classes until the applicable deadline.
- Students will be able to utilize UAccess Student Center to complete the withdrawal through the deadline.
Registration Information
The fall 2022 Schedule of Classes is available as of March 1. Additional updates may be made to individual classes. To view information on the upcoming registration schedule, please review the Registration Calendar.
Continuing students can utilize their Shopping Cart to:
- Plan ahead: Add classes to your UAccess Shopping Cart, thereby making it faster to register when your enrollment appointment begins
- Check enrollment eligibility: Once a class is added to your Shopping Cart, information appears showing whether you meet the enrollment requirements
- Be prepared: Have some backup classes ready in case your first choice is unavailable

We plan to offer most courses on our Main Campus and other locations as in-person, with some courses offered as flex in-person as public safety requires.
Main Campus students planning to learn completely remotely should enroll in Live Online or iCourses.
Campus Based Class Formats
In-Person
Students and instructors attend class in person. All in-person classrooms will adhere to CDC guidelines.
Flex In-Person
Students participate in a mix of in-person and online modes. For example, you may be in a rotating group that alternates between in-person and online meetings following the weekly class schedule. Or you may participate in lectures online and labs in person. The exact mix of in-person and online will be determined by your instructor.
Live Online
The instructor and students are online simultaneously, and your instructor provides content in a live online platform.
iCourse
For the majority of coursework, students and instructors are not required to be online simultaneously, and students complete their work through D2L.
