Class Fee Definition and Policies for Students

Class fees are additional charges for specific classes or courses that have demonstrably higher costs of delivering instruction overall because of the need for or use of special equipment, supplies, technology, key personnel expenses, field trips or other costs approved by the board. For more information, please view the ABOR Policies and requesting process at the University Fees website.

An iCourse fee is a class fee that covers the cost of technology, academic and student services related to online instruction. Online instruction requires increased space on computer servers, increased 24/7 tech support, and enhanced electronic learning tools. As more courses are available online, special online tutoring will become available and will be paid by this fee. The iCourse fee is $50 and covers the cost of courses taught online in traditional on-campus degree programs.
