The AGEC is a set of courses that satisfy lower division general education and foundation courses at the UA, as well as general education requirements for associate degrees for transfer.
There are three AGEC concentration options: AGEC-A (Arts), AGEC-B (Business), and AGEC-S (Science). AZ Transfer outlines the three different AGECs and their course requirements at each community college in Arizona.
Review each AGEC to determine which one you should complete to satisfy degree requirements at The University of Arizona. Academic Advisors at The University of Arizona are happy to meet with prospective students to plan courses to complete at community colleges before transferring.
Course requirements for AGECs are approved through community colleges. Community colleges are responsible for certifying the date of completion of the AGEC on the official institutional transcripts.
