Degree Certification Procedures for Undergraduate Students in the College of Fine Arts

Students in the College of Fine Arts should apply for degree candidacy with Melanie Brady, Graduation Services Advisor for the College of Fine Arts, in Room 111 of the Music Building.  Students majoring in Art Education, Music Education, Theatre Education, or Theatre Arts should apply approximately one year before graduation.  Students in all other majors should apply after registering for their final semester of course work.  A $35 fee will be charged to your Bursar's Office account.

Melanie will make your degree audit packet and will review it with you briefly. You will then take the degree audit packet to your major advisor, who will review the course work and make any adjustments necessary to the SAPR (Student Academic Progress Report). The Senior Degree Check Adjustment Form is then signed by the advisor and the Dean of the College and forwarded by the College to Melanie Brady. Melanie will verify that all requirements for graduation will be met once you complete your final semester of coursework.

After your final grades come in, Melanie will do a final audit of your records.  If you fail to complete your degree requirements, you will be mailed notification.

Feel free to contact Melanie Brady, Graduation Services Advisor for the School of Fine Arts, if you have any questions about your degree audit.
