Assistant Vice President for Scholarships and Financial Aid & University Registrar
Beth has been at the University of Arizona since 2000, working first in the Summer and Winter Sessions Office and then as the Senior Associate Registrar. She has been the University Registrar since 2008. She also oversees the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Directs the Veterans Services Office, which provides enrollment certification to the Veterans Administration for UA students using the GI Bill. Directs the Residency Classification Office, which determines resident status for tuition purposes based on Arizona Board of Regent’s policies and Arizona Legislative Statutes. Provides coordination of UAccess Student Records and Campus Community projects and maintenance. Oversees the grading process, which includes generating grade rosters and management of grade changes.
Oversees all aspects of Summer & Winter Sessions including customer service, payroll, refunds, hiring of instructors, admission for non-degree summer only students and evaluations. Works closely with students and academic units.
Oversees operation of the Registration and Transcripts Office. Processes all registration forms for students including Change of Schedule (add/drop), 500 Level Petitions, Prop 300 (Verify Lawful Presence), Leave of Absence and Credit By Exam. Provides official and unofficial transcripts to students via walk-in or online. Responsible for interpreting and enforcing academic policy.
Oversees the Graduation Services team, which audits and posts all undergraduate degrees. Directs the transfer credit evaluation team, which evaluates all incoming college-level transfer credit and processes Transfer Credit Preapprovals. Oversees NCAA student-athlete eligibility certification. Manages document scanning and archives.
Oversees Course Approval Services and Room & Course Scheduling. Coordinates with units across campus to maintain and upgrade Centrally Scheduled Classroom inventory. Provides the most appropriate room assignments for course sections and events in Centrally Scheduled Classrooms. Oversees the production of the Course Catalog and Schedule of Classes.
